ABS LIGHT comes on while braking

ABS LIGHT comes on while braking
I have a 97 eddie bauar explorer that for the past few weeks has had problems with ABS. The ABS light will come on and the ABS system will shut off. Ive tried restarting the car but it only temorarily turns it the system back on. Any suggestions>?

ABS LIGHT comes on while braking
you may have dirty sensors!
One on the rear diff ,one at each front wheel.
Try cleaning them !
Or get a scan code reader and get the dtc codes being stored.
I believe there is also a g-switch ,this is used when the vehicle is in 4wh drive,not sure where it is located.
