ABS Light

What will cause the abs light to come on and can it have any kinda of affect on the power of the engin, just came on a few miles back

My understanding is it is independant of the PCM. I had one a couple of winters ago due to snow. After a couple of starts and stops it self resolved and the light went out.

It can be read to see what is wrong.

I would check all connections to the sensors at the wheels before I did anything with it.

I know this sounds crazy but its like I lost powee goin up steep hills, mind you I have a 50' wedge loaded and there was a difference of power after happened I KNOW IT SOUNDS CRAZY

Had something similar except all warnings were coming on, tpms, abs, door ajar and Ford had the dealer unplug all the sensors clean them and re plug. all ok since then. Hope this helps
