Hello FTE Members
I've got a windshild leak on my 2000 Explorer, it seems to be leaking above the driver side, where the windshild gasket meets the roof channel. There is a small space between the channel and the gasket. I lifted the gasket and applied some RTV silicone, but it still leaks. Is there a product that is made to correct a problem, or does anyone have a tip or advice to correct this; or is this a problem that should be handled by an automotive glass company? Thanks in advance.
First question is "is it still in warranty"? If so, let Ford fix it, if not best bet is a winshield place. They can remove the glass and re-apply the real sealant over the entire seal surface joint and do it right. Since you are not buying the glass, price should be bearable. Call a 2-3 different places to get an idea of the cost.

Picked it up last January with 35,400 miles on it; which gave me 400 mile of factory warranty. It didn't rain until last month. I've got 38+ on it now, with an extended warranty that won't cover trim, glass or body gaskets. Thanks for the advice, I guess I'll take it to an auto glass place, after I get some prices. Thanks again!
