I belive that most of us may have had a father or uncle who, when driving with the younger boys of the family, would take the road that has "The Jump".
Every town has that place. But here on the Big Island we have PLENTY!!
I "get air" at least 3 times a week. I mean, full-on, off-the-ground, all-4-wheels, no BS Gettin' Air.
Great thing is the truck handles it with aplomb & I've never bottomed the suspension, probably due to how these "jumps" are formed. (...I'll have to take a pic...) The landing areas are usually perfectly shaped to allow a 4 wheel landing.
Just curious if any of you guys have a place(s) in your town where you can levitate your truck for a second or two and if you've ever done it.
Oh, and if you ever come to the Big Island and suddenly hear the Dukes of Hazzard theme followed by a Bo Duke like Yee-Haw....that would be me in the Red Expy... sans the 01 on the side.
In high school, I had a buddy with a POS Chevy Blazer... There is a street in our city named "Grandview" and we all called it the Grand Canyon. The street goes from a long, sweeping down hill into a dip, then a bump. We used to get air all the time (until we destroyed the Blazer). Everytime we'd go jump the "Grand Canyon", we would get bounced off of our seats. Priceless...

Reason: Typo
Here when the tide goes out on the beach it leaves large gullies down by the water line. When one speeds over the 25mph speed limit up to around 40 the truck gets air. I had a picture of where my tire tracks ended and began again, but I can't find it now.
Where I live we have a gravel road known to the teenagers as "Seven Hills". Each one gets progressively better, but the last one terminates very quickly into a corn feild....the last time I was in this cornfield was circa 1979.
