Just tracked down the coolant leak on my '94 F-350 w/351... I thought it had been the temperature sender switch on the left front of the intake. Unfortunately, the intake bolt next to it (#6 in the tightening sequence - the one that runs through the water jacket) is snapped off and apparently has been for some time...
There's about 2 inches I can take out, the rest is in the block. My plan is to pull the intake and use the appropriate tool (reverse drill bit/EZ-out) to remove the snapped piece.
I believe I can pull the intake without having to pull the distributor as it looks as though there is enough room, especially once the upper manifold is removed.
Can someone confirm/deny for me? Thanks in advance!
You can try removing the intake without taking the distributor but I've been working on cars and trucks for over 20 years and I find it nearly impossible.
