Explorer 93 Ignition Problem
Hello All,
I have a 93 Explorer XLT. Been having a problem starting the vehicle. Insert the key and turn it but the starter doesn't turn over. I have replaced the Ingition switch in the steering colum, and the starter relay but still doesn't work. I can jump the starter relay and the vehicle starts every time.
What could the problem be. It does have a Ford Dealer installed alarm switch and I am not sure if that could be contributing to the problem. I have flipped the alarm bypass switch and the key in the ignition will not engage the starter.
I am open to any suggestions at this point. It's a real pain to pop the hood and jump the starter relay everytime to start the vehicle. Last resort is to take it to the Dealer for an evaluation of the problem. They say they need the vehicle 2 days.

Never mind, I got out my voltage checker and found that the wire that clips onto the Starter Relay had a bad connection. Squeezed it back tight and starter now works properly with the ignition key turned.
