Arrow C-bushings

Ok...here it is...I have asked several folks about the right degree C-bushing when used with a 4" lift and keep getting different answers. So...hopefully we can settle it once and for all here.

Truck is a '76 F-150 4x4 with a 4" Skyjacker front lift and a 2" rear lift. What is the correct degree C-bushings to use?

1. 4 degree bushings
2. 7 degree bushings

One answer here:
"A 7 degree C-Bushing is needed for trucks that have a 4" - 9" lifted suspension."

Another answer here:
"All that is needed is the 4 degree bushing for your application"

Thanks for helping settle this once and for all...

i'd love to be able to tell you what a cbushing is but i have no clue.

seems like a 4 degree bushing would be used under 4 inches. because you dont need to change the angle as far as a 4-9 inch lift would give you. at that point you would need a steeper angle, and thus go for a 7 degree bushing, maybe even a 9 or 10 for a 9 inch lift?

Just applying common sence here.
might be right on this one, i'm pretty good at guessing. =)

Appreciate your input. I am looking for a more "Yes" or "No" type answer. I am sure a lot of guys out there have installed a 4" lift...but what about the C-bushings???

the rule of thumb I heard once is 1deg for each in of lift thus 4deg for 4in lift, 7deg for 6 to 8in lift (you can't get them in single deg increments so go with what is close), and if you are running 9in then use 4in drop brackets, and 4deg bushings to get close, see how this works out. but personally I think if you are running 6 or more lift extended radius arms are the answer
