Good news...I came across a great deal on a super clean dash pad. Now I have to install it...Can anyone explain how to install a dash pad on a '76 F-150? I'm sure it is the same for all the '73-79's...
Is this an easy or hard thing to do with the dash and all components installed???
73-79 are all the same.
theres six bolts holding it on, you have too take the glove box out and the trim around the gauges to get to them.
Thanks F150daniel.
Do you all recommend using any sort of glue type product to help hold the dash pad in place??? I was thinking this would create a good seal and help prevent rattles...
In my '74, I found a dash pad in the junkyard, painted it black with vinyl paint (was maroon), and both the original and the replacement never warped in any way...
I had to paint mine and looks great but don't use any oil cleaners after painting it just a damp cloth or something the oil will cause the paint to change colors. I had to repaint mine after cleaning mine with some spray cleaner. Armorall I think.

Now that is an excellent tip! Really appreciate your input...
