electronic problems?

electronic problems?

Drove home from the lake today, part way home the abs light came on, then the speedometer and tach started acting up then the over drive on off button light started flashing , any ideas , anyy help would be appreciated.
1999 F250, powerstroke, auto tranny, AIS intake, superchips tuner

This has happen to me twice both times the ignition (key) was stuck between cranking and where it sits when its running.When you shut it off and restarted it was every thing ok?

Sounds like the speed sensor on top of the differential has gone south on ya.

Yea - I'd check out the speed sensor too. It can cause all kinds of goofy things when it starts to go bad.

Thanks for the info, started back up a couple times this morning and still the same thing, speedo stays on zero till ya get going about 40 then works overdrive button flashes till ya get going about the same then shuts off, abs stays on the whole time, superchips diagnostic reader kicked out p0500 code, thanks again , hopefully will get me and my travel trailer to my next job today

I'd start with the speed sensor on the diff.

Speed sensor on the diff. about 20-25bucks and dealership, takes about 5 minutes to change with a 3/8 open end wrench. Just did mine a couple of weeks ago.
