flashing SES light

flashing SES light

1999 5.4 Expedition,started to pass a car today and engine started running rough, then SES light started to flash. after i slowed down,engine sounded fine. went home, turned off engine, then started it back up and now SES light does not come on. anybody have any suggestions?

if you can look at the obd2 mode 6 data, see which cylinder has the highest percentage of type A and put a coil and plug in that cyl.

thanks for your suggestion. but, what does that mean? it's not that i am a total goof, but i definitely don't know what obd2 mode 6 data is.

you would need to get that looked at at a dealership, i dont know of any generic scan tools that will do mode 6.

you could get them to diagnose it and then fix it yourself.
