I need some help. I have a 2002 F-250 7.3L Powerstroke and have 50k miles on it. I have kept up the maintenance on it religously. 2 weeks ago it starting stalling (engining dying on me) on average 1-2 times a day. It usually occured within first 20 minutes of driving it and most of the time when I decelerated to about 10mph. Other than that it runs great. I have NEVER had any problems with it and I love my powerstroke. I have full acceration and it does not even hick-up when at constant speed (as the P1211 error may indicate) although it does miss occasionally upon hard acceleration to get up to 70mph but not very often.
I obtained a code reader and got error code P1211. I was told it could be also be my CAM sensor. The error code for the CAM sensor (P0603 or something never showed up. I cleared my errors and replaced the CAM sensor and I still having the same symptoms and I have no error codes on the code reader (not even the P1211). (and yes I am using it right). Today, instead of decelerating I was idle at a light when it died.
