well you got the range box, plus the longer rear output....6-8 inche smaybe???

Well, that could make all the difference for him. Plus he'd end up with a better x-case.

yup, and down the raod if he ever wante d2 get crazy he could use the range box of the 203 to make a 203-205 doubler...or jus tgive it to me so i can doit

Can I eliminate that CV and gain 3" for my rear driveshaft? Since none of you guys have seen that type of shaft on a highboy I'd assume I could.....If I could do that my driveshaft length would be 34", with a 20" body, and I'd hack out 18 of those inches and have a 2" body on my shaft before the slip yoke........

Am I dreaming or would this work?

The CV is there for a reason, with a shaft that short you'll need it, esp. if you decide to lift it. Also, after doing a bit of looking around here's what i gather: F-250's with full time 4x4 got rear CV's from '75 to '78
