squeeky AC pulley

When my engine idles, the front of the AC pulley (clutch?) squeeks really loud and does not move. When the idle kicks up, the front of the pully spins and stops squeeking. New pulley? WD40? Any ideas?

Maybe it needs a new clutch. You'll need to look & listen to it more carefully to make sure. The pulley doesn't squeek but the belt might. That leaves the clutch.

Have you ever charged the system? I've seen this happen with an overcharge, especially on a hot day.
