I have a 4x2 - I bought ProTech's 2.75" leveling kit AND AM VERY VERY HAPPY. After that I put on 315/70/17's. You can see pics in my gallery.

Any change in ride or handling? Any problems with alignment?

No difference in ride quality or handling. I HIGHLY recommend this kit.

As far as alignment, YES you do need to get an alignment after it is installed.

Did you order the kit yourself or did you go through a performance store?

I ordered it from their ebay auction, but you can buy direct from them too. Pretty much bought it from them, then had a shop install it for me.

I used the autospring leveling kit. It works great, and looks really good. I used the 1 5/8 front lift. The dealer put it on for me, and had several spectators when I went to pick it up.

I second the ProTech. Very very easy to do. Just make sure you got a good spring compresser or wal mount and your home free. I did mine in 2 hrs.

Some people that I have talked to said that they "poly" kits are potentially bad for the longevity of my truck. They said go with a coil over kit. Any opinion?

The Protech is Billit Aluminum and not poly. Thats the main reason I went with the Protech but I am sure the poly would be fine as well since thats what body lifts are made out of.

On another note I am not figuring on running mine much longer than this time next year as by then I will be near the end of warrenty and it will be time for a 6" suspension lift.

I went with the protech, I paid $90 to have it put in, love it. I do feel a differnce in the ride , but I think it's from the BFG's I put on. Make sure you get it lined up.
