These are normal (see previous posts) and will show up on a stock truck with no tuning or foreign devices installed.

Since I'm too lazy to make a new post on a separate subject, I'll do it here:

I had a scenario today with a local guy who said the performance file did nothing to his truck.
I had him bring it in, I installed his tuner and proceeded to do a huge burnout (with his permission). He drove it an couldnt believe how fast it was.

It turns out that he unplugged the tuner after the upload, before tuning was installed and he never got the performance file.
He was happy as a pig in mud when he left =o)
Oops yes, I meant P0603 , my bad and I thought those were normal. The P0603 cannot be cleared. I assume it will clear on it's on in time.

I had my tuner for about a week now, love it. The only question is about the temps. I am seeing on my Pyro. I almost up to 1400 pre turbo . I placed it almost the same spot as they did on the show Trucks on Spike TV. I am not pulling a load, just mashing on it. Seeing around 31 psi on boost. Truck runs like a 3 legged ape in a forest fire. Just worried about the temps, as posted on the other threads they look a little lower. Also one time from a dead stop to full throttle it hesitated they threw a lot of black smoke , I now it is suppose to smoke but this was more that I had seen in pervious times. I ran the truck down the road and got it warm then did it again from a dead stop and no hesitation just smoke from the tires . So my question is does your truck have to warm up for a certain amount of time as this is my first diesel. <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-comfficeffice" /><o></o>

I would also like to thank this forum that give me great info on recent post to help my with the install of the gauges I put in. <o></o>

<o></o>

I am running a 1704, autometer gauges, beside that stock 2003 CC FX4 <o></o>

Thanks for you time and help if you can. <o></o>

well unfortunately all trucks are not equal you may be seeing 1400 and others maybe seeing 1150 on up and the same style and make truck with all the same components, there are many factors to look at as well were you live, altitude air all these things can factor in on temps as well as your guage could be defective but that would be the last resort do different tests at different times of the day and you should see some differences, don't forget you are in there high hp mode so you need to expect high egt's

You can lower that some by installing a 4' exhaust.

1400 is VERY close to being damaging ! be careful - remove your muffler by straight piping or get a good exhaust...

And as far as does the diesel have to warm up...
most definetly !
and it does take a long time to warm up AND a long time to cool down...

to withstand the pressure to fire the diesel only by compression only it has a LOT more cast iron in that block than our gassers did !

It shouldn't. It works with the existing flash. This is how I think it works. It doesn't replace the code/flash, it just replaces the programmable engine control parameters that are used by the ECM abd TCM to change the behavior of the engine and transmission.

1400 will melt a turbine blade, very quickly!

hope you read this before continuing to drive it!

put the low hp program in, then the mid and see what keeps you BELOW 1200 at all times..... but then again, it is your truck.

good luck with it.

hey duece if you are thinking of going the exhaust way like choctaw indictated which by the way choc good pick up on the exhaust i miss that one, ken at ford truck enthusiast might just have a few full exhaust systems left from the exhaust group purchase he just had you should be able to get the gp price which was if i am correct between 355.00 to 374.00, but it is suggested to get one if you do plan on running the high hp tune and anybodys tuner or chip out there. Good luck hope this helps

You should call superchips for an RA number (no cost to you)
There may be an isssue with your stock files and their tunability.
There is an easy fix for this.

BTW....my 03 Cobra makes 472HP/494 FT LBS at the tire, not my 6.0L.
Where did you get the 472 number? In my profile from another forum?

I don't own a 6.0.....I just tune them. (Though it seems I've been driving them more than my own car in present months)

***edited
I think I need to spend $10 on a new keyboard at home. If I have to edit a message one more time for a simple typo......argh

DANG - was hoping it was true 472 HP would be FUN !!!

I would have ordered two so I could get 572 HP

And unfortunately, my keyboard does the same thing

(Have you tried IESPell - nice little internet spell checker)
I use it, but still can defeat it

Hey I like to thank everyone with the input , looking into new exhust . I went back to stock and still can get it up to 1150f , boost was about 17 , hard to look at all the gauges and not run out of road . out side temp was about 85 and we are about 30 to 50 ft above sea leval. I ever pull a load with it , just like to have the power their if needed but but dont want to damage my truck.

As far as the Super Chips tuner is I think it is a great buy and easy to use .

as far as when in the H P mode the black smoke is just unbrunt fuel ? correct

Thanks to all
