The first guy I talked to did not have much knowledge of the diesels and had no turn around time for me. The second time I got a different guy who said they would either have to have the "Calibration" dept. change it and if they could not do it the "Engineers" would custom program it for me. All that had to be done is tell them the problems I had with it and they would change it to my likeing. I assume this is not a normal thing as they would now become "Superchips Custom Tuner".

Are you calling Superchips the manufacturer or one of the tuner dealers that use the Superchips name, sell the programmer and custom program it for a fee?
Hay guys check this out a bunch of four letter words a couple of fives and not one finger screw up.

Well I tried the truck and SCMT out last weekend towing my 12,000+ pound gooseneck race trailer. I had a 02 SC 7.3 auto with SCMT that I towed the trailer with the last couple years so I compared my experience to that. I have not tried towing without the SCMT so I can not give a with and without chip comparison.
The power using the tow mode was comparable to the chipped 7.3, I was attaining speeds/acceleration the same as the 7.3 did.
The EGTs held well, on a hill that would get the 7.3 so high that I had to let off the throttle, I held the 6.0 to the floor gaining speed all the way up the hill and never got above 1200 degrees. I purposely slowed down coming up to this hill so I could monitor EGTs accelerating up it.
I really like the tow haul mode and the shifting was fine, I definetely prefer this trans over the one in my 02 truck.
I averaged about 10.3 MPG for the 200 mile trip (by hand and topped off) which is comparable to the 7.3 which ranged from 8 to 11 depending on terrain, wind and speed.
I did try the performance mode in the truck empty around town and found that the EGTs go up fast, I seen 1250 a few times, before I let off. It definetely made power but I need to do more testing to determine if I can run it without exhaust modifications.
I will report in as I use the SCMT and truck more. Thus far I am happy with the chip!

Pulling the smoke out of the PERF file would make it lose power and EGT's go up.
mine is in for the update, SC should recieve it today. Are you tailoring the update based off customer issues (ie. custom tune), or is it a general update? I sent it back because the econ mode shifted "a little too firm" at low speeds. Tow and Perf shifted fine.
lastly, will I loose anything performance wise with this update and what are the specifics of this update? Is it simply a trans file fix in the econ mode for firmness?
