Castrol 5W30 dino, NO usage whatsoever between changes. '01 V10 SB SC 4x4 w/17K miles (yeah, only 17K).

With gas being what it is, I've layed off beating on it, but before it went sky-high, I would push it quite a bit, and still no oil usage.
Same here - NONE
'99 V10 SC DRW 4x4 around 87K miles

Oh, and I drive hard

V10...2001...modified 3K to 5K service schedule (3K when towing, 5K when commuting).... 49,840 on the clock when I killed it, (another story another day)

Never used any noticable amount between filter and change... BTW this is the first engine I have ever owned that did not eat SOME oil. Neat huh?

Buying a new truck...bet your *** it will be Ford V10 powered!

Use the Motorcraft 5W20 semi-synthetic. No oil consumption registered between changes averaging 3000-4000 miles. Have 33,000 great miles so far!

I also use the Motor craft 5W20 semi-synthetic and have not had to add any between oil changes, every 3000 miles. (only 2 so far 6,500 miles) It's a 2004 FX4 extended cab and I have been towing (7500 lbs. min.) with it for at least half of these miles with cruise at 70 MPH. Average 10 MPG with air on. So far I really love this truck.

My 2000 Limited doesnt use any oil between oil changes. 45k miles and I use Pennziol Truck and SUV oil. 5w30.

I have owned many, many ford vehicles, from mustangs to trucks, they all used some oil between changes. This one, doesnt though.

I am sorry to hear that! That problems worrys me too. Don't expect any help from Ford. They will act like it is the first time they ever heard of it! Have any idea what it is going to cost to repair the mess? The problem is more frequent than we are being told says my local Ford Dealer

V-10 Oil Usuage

I don't use any oil between changes. I have 136,000 on mine and use Castrol 5w-30. Doesn't leak a drop anywhere either.
