Google "CRLaurence powr slider" Yes, the powr slider spelling is correct. CRL part number PSC998S. Nags part number DY90085PK4.
This is a real easy installation. Search the threads for the super Duty rear window installation or search my posts. I posted installation instructions for a rear slider a few months ago.
huntercgr: You beat me to it with the link problem
I know of no kit for converting a manual slider to a power slider. CRL probably has service parts for an existing PowrSlider but the cost of the components would surely exceed the price of the entire unit. Besides, their PowrSlider is different than their manual slider and alot of the window components won't interchange.
The basic mechanism is simply a push/pull cable system with one end attached to brackets bonded to the lower edge of the glass panel and the other end connected to a remote power window regulator.
Design a system (get around CRL's patents first, not really that hard), develop and market the product and CRL will come along and buy you out to keep their monopoly alive in the slider industry. Why do you think the prices are so high for sliders compared to 4 or 5 years ago?
