Does anyone know if they make something like this for the SD? Would like some info. With the CC I can't reach the window so it never gets opened. Would be nice to hit a button and get some air through it.
I ordered that option on my '04 SC. In a regular cab, one can reach back and open the window. In a super or crew cab, the driver can't reach it. Since it's an option, you may be able to retrofit the motor. I goes behind the back seat. And there's not much to it!
You can get one aftermarket from a glass installer. It is also offered as a ford dealer installed accessory as well. I think it will set you back about $450.00 or so.
My 03 F-250 CC came with one. It is called a "Powerslider" and seems to work well. I think I have seen them advertised at around $500. Seems like an awfull lot of $$$ for what it is.
It seems like it was $125 option for a new truck from the factory. I got it because you cant reach the window in the crew cab. It's ice to have but $125 is alot too.
I have an 03 super crew. The power slider as option from factory, around $125. I found my truck on the lot and it had manual slider. I inquired about power slider, around $500. I'm happy with my manual. Although, I did order one on my 05 350 cc 4x4 lb.
It will run you $725 installed here where I live. I laughed at the dealer when he gave me the price. I put the money towards the exhaust and gauges instead, ac works for me.
