I remember watching those "spotter" guys on tv heavweight contests. I could see where if a 400 lb. weighted bar dropped back across the forehead or crushed the windpipe, it could be fatal.

I don't know, I've never tried bench pressing or anything like that.

I do know that I can pick up 2 John Deere Suitcase weights (120lbs. ea.) off the ground up to the weight bracket, and then slide them on the rail.

I'm 6'6", 260lbs., 18 years old.

Where can you get a Bench Shirt at and how much do they cost?
And how the hell can they give you a 100 lbs. advantage?

I dunno about the 100lb advantage, but, the way they work is similar to compression shorts.

They, the shirt, allow the muscle(s) to expand against something which allows the muscle to utilize more of the force generated by the contraction for moving a joint instead of expansion.

in some cases it will give you more than 100LBS. back in the mid 90's i was on the power team at Eagle gym in st. Louis Mo. Willie Wessels weighs 235 Lbs and still holds the squat record of 1009Lbs. his bench was over 700LBS. the shirt gave him hundreds of pounds. it only gives me 100lbs. it takes a few people to put it on, because it is so tight. when i have it on 300lbs will not even touch my chest. at about 335 or more it will go down to my chest. it really does protect your body. you must still have the control of the weight and the power to lift it.
