When I was 23 (10 yrs ago) I could bench 315 for two, that was when I was in college and I could work out for 2 hrs a day (5 days a week). I was 5'7" and 180 lbs, now I'm 170 lbs and my best bench is 250. I work out 5 days a week still but at 5:30 in the morning for 50 minutes before work!! I'm probably in better shape now with weights and mountain biking along with only partying once every 2 months instead of 3-4 days a week like the college days!!!
I shattered an elbow last year and had a metal piece put in to replace the end of my radius bone. Now I can bench an astonishing 40 lb. before it hurts to much to keep going.
I hardly max because I don't work out with a spotter. My max would be around 235 lbs. I been doing alot more dumbells now rather than straight bars. I change it up every month or so. I been lifting for years. I love it!
Hey guys- well umm i am a 16 year old girl and i play football for my high school team and when i lift weights with the guys i usually lift about 170 to about 190!!!

Not bad for 16 yr. old girl. Prolly what (no disrespect intended)... 5'5"... 115#? Most girls I know that are as I discribed are lucky to bench 80-90#.
Anyways, my max (at my peak, lol, not now) was about 230# for the bench. And around 400# for the squats. <----- Don't laugh guy's... I am only 5'10" and 122#.
So far, my max is 405. I'm 6'6" 320. Last year at this time I couldn't even do 295. I am a almost 19year old, redshirt freshman shot-putter on the Ohio State track team and my coach knows everything about lifting. I was on a program that took me from 350 to 400 in 9 weeks. The sky is the limit, I dont know where I'll be in 4 years....There is a senior on the team that benches 520ish, hang cleans 451, and can box squat 750 pounds or better (mind you he is the 2004 Indoor NCAA national champ in the 35 lb weight and shot put)
Gotta be careful curling too much. I gave myself forearm splints from curling too much. I had no idea you could get forearm splints. the owner of the gym (prev pro lifter) said its not too common, but happens when you puch too hard. Took a while to heal, just had to cut the weight down a bit.
I'd say my most impressive moment was lat pulldowns at 350 pounds, 10 times.
easy there new user- good way to get flamed on here
Peppy- my max for lat-pull downs was 350-370 for a short time but then i had started getting shoulder pains from doing it, quit, and now im down to 320- they sure are easy to get strong at, as long as you dont screw anything up
I know several guys who screwed up their elbows doing either lat pulldowns to heavy or curls. I strained my elbow about 5 years ago, still hurts whenever I do anything but bench.
