I contacted a local glass shop and they said they would do the job for 20 dollars.he said he was very familiar with the process of taking out the rivets and taking the glass out and putting the glass back in. i cant beat that price!! plus he will put the latch in for me, which isnt a hard job anyways.

I think in the haynes manual it gives you the bolt and nut size to replace the rivits with. All I did when I took out my back window was drill out the rivits and I had to replace the plastic washers because they were old and ed and put in a nut and bolt. Two weeks later I shattered my back window and it was a lot easier to take 4 nuts off then drilling out rivits.

I don't think you need to take the window completly out, All I ever do is open the tailgate trip the latches and roll the window while the tailgate is in the open postion. You'll need some thing to support the windoe, a box or chair will work. Now the window is out of the way and you can get in side to work on the latches.
