Question Exhaust Manifold Rust

I have a 1997 light F250 with the 4.6L V8. Anyway, this year I noticed an exhaust leak on my drivers side manifold where the 'y' ties in. Upon further investigation I found that one of the studs was completely rotted off and the other getting ready to dissapear as well. In addition the studs to the heads look real bad on both sides of the engine. Is this typical of the 1997's? I only have 67K miles on the truck and do not want to get rid of it because of this problem.

Thanks,

Bob Lynch

Yes, this happens a lot from what I have read. I think that the dealer has stainless steel replacements.
