alt idiot light brightness
Ok I have a 66 with the 352 it has a new battery and a new soild state voltage regulater but the alt light is only half it's brightness. So I cleaned all grounds and wires going to the reg and alt with my dremal and replaved the bulb still half brightness. I tested the socket it's at about 7.5 volts I tested the I termal on the reg for resitence and it's at about 8 ohms what could be causeing this??? The alt is putting out 14.25 at idle even under load what gives?

No nothing to panic over just very curious. I replaced the alt and reg last night just cause of age and the reg was under warrenty but still the same brightness it was like this with the old style reg as well. Oh well
