I wanted to upgrade my f350 larit 2004 super duty with a remoter starter kit.
I aready have the key less entry and wanted to upgrade.
When i got my new kit ( 2w7z-19g364-ca ) it had no install instruction.
is this something I should let ford do or is it easy for a shade tree mechanic to do. if so can i just replace the reciver and where is it? can get instruction on line.

 

Your existing keyless is not much help. If it's anything like the Ford Gold remote start/security system I installed in my F150, it is a very complicated and lengthy installation, even with the detailed Ford instructions (How come you didn't get them?). Without instructions, I'd bet against your success unless you do this kind of thing for a living.
