Hello,
I have a 99 F250 Super Duty 7.3 w/4r100 trans. (early99)
Has anyone installed the transmission filter kit with stainless braided lines on their truck? Would like to here of some experience with these products.
THANKS

In addition to the internal filter in my tranny, I also have a Magnefine filter mounted inline with the hose leading to my Tru-Cool tranny cooler. I'm thinking that isn't what you're looking for, though. If I'm reading you right, you want to add another external filter to eliminate the internal one, right?
I like it alot. Changed filter last weekend when I installed FTVB. Installing tranny filter was pretty easy, mounted it on the frame, passenger side. Didn't even need to drill holes. Also installed coolant filter. Changed that filter after a month and could not believe the crap that was in it. Changed it again after another 2 months and it didn't have nearly the sand & slime. I got all 3 of these items from Dieselsite. Excellent products and service.

where did you put your tru cooler tranny cooler at? I would like to hook up one myself, but there is and oil cooler infront of ac now. thanks
I went to dieselsite.com and and saw a picture of the external trans filter. Is that a Baldwin filter and what is the # of the Baldwin filter? What I was thinking, because I've already cut my trans line, is to just buy a filter head that fits that filter, a couple of brass fittings and plumb it into where I have already cut the trans line. I cut the trans line a while back to put in a trans temp probe for my guage. The braided lines on the kit look nice but at $109 and the fact that I've cut my line already maybe I can save some money. Any thoughts on this?
I cut my lines when installing tranny cooler, used an inline magnafine filter to reconnect my new lines, worked great and very simple. Flow tested after install and there was no drop in fluid volume. i think the filters cost about $30.00.
Good Luck.
I've had a regular remote spin-on filter head with Baldwin BT111's on it for the last 60,000 miles on my '89 F250 with an AOD. Mounted it up front just before the juice goes into the radiator. Initially, cutting them open after a change-out every 10,000 miles revealed some "stuff" caught in the filter. I also installed a neodymimum magnet in the filter's flange to catch microscopic ferrous "dust", which it did.
I use the BT111's as a result of a call to Baldwin tech support and it was their recommendation to usy it instead of a B2.
I will be transferring this filter to my F350 with PSD when I get ready lose the 250.
