I have a 97 F350 CC 4X4 with E40D auto and 4:10 rearend. 3" Banks DP to a 4" exhaust system. Superchips Tuner on order along with some gauges. I tow 2500-3500lbs ski boat with plans for a 25'-27' pull trailer. What upgrades should I think about for the future to keep it running strong?
Next lets talk tranny sensor location. I've only seen on various sites two placement spots that give the same reading, the drain plug and the side plug on the drivers side. Is'nt that all fluid from the pan post the tranny cooler? or am I mistaken? Would it be better to place the sensor in the cooler line before the fluid is cooled through the cooler? If so wich line is the correct line to place it in?
Finally is it possible to place an exhaust brake on my 97 PSD? I've heard that its not good for the earlier PSD to get to much backpressure, is this true or just another myth? If its ok any thought on the electronic devices or should you just go the the turbo mounted style? I know it long but thanks for the help.
