1997 Powerstroke

does anybody have the factory specs for a 1997 PSD in hp/torque. i went to my local ford dealership and they could not tell me. any help would be great.

where did you get those numbers from, is there a manual that i can get for the truck. thanks

My father in law took my book so it's not here now. It was either a Chiltons or a Haynes. It's not all that bad of a manual either. I think I bought it a Kragen or maybe Napa. I actually bought it for a 94 F250 460 that I had.

Ranger..

I have a '97 PSD. I also have the sales brochure for Ford HD trucks.
The specs for the '97 PSD are listed as 215 hp/425 tq.

However.......a decal on the valve cover states the hp at 225 - go
figger.

rayw, thanks for the info. i saw the sticker on the passenger side valve cover as well, but maybe the International Co. put that on the motor prior to installation, and then after ford installs it in the truck and tests it at the rear wheels it is at 215hp. i dont know either.
