lift suggestions?

I'm going to lift my 72 Sport (Plow Truck)... I've decided i'm going to go all out and get the 3.5" for 35 tires later... What do you guys think would be the best spring kit to go with considering i'm going to be pushing around a plow in the winter?

I think that BC Broncos has the best options for front springs. They offer springs for winch applications and for the heavier 351W conversions. They should be able to find the right spring that will accomodate the extra weight of your plow.

I would shoot for a level stance without the plow, but with enough spring rate that you're springs won't sag prematurely, or rub the fenders with the plow on. The best way would be to weigh your Bronco (front and rear separately) with and without the blade. This will give you an idea of what you need.

The clearance is the main concern now as the 31's I have are really close to the fenders when the plow is up and I'm bouncing down the road.

Pretty sure weight of plow = 600/700 lbs?

Moved the Two Deep Cycle 1000cca batteries to the rear to offset the weight some...

At this point i've started pulling driveshafts and brake lines so I can't weigh the truck... I guess I could get the specs from Meyer about the plow and measure the batteries with a bathroom scale, etc...

I've also heard several people use air bags inside the front coils to support the additional weight when they put the plow on.

Air bags would be a good option for you, too.

What size tires are you planning to plow with? I would stick with the 31's for plow duty and 35's for the trail. I think you will have some clearance problems with the 35's and a 3.5" lift with the plow attached. Another big benefit would be the reduced strain on the drivetrain and steering. Its hard enough just pushing a wall of snow without having to turn a set of 35" tires.

James Duff coils are very stiff. Suck for off road, great for winches, snow plows, dual batteries and big block diesel truck engines in EBs.

Says you! I like my Duff's 2" under my stock Bronco. I wouldn't suggest the dual shock, though. I'll probably be taking my duals off.

I am comparing aples to aples. I went from a Rancho 2 inch to a Duff 3.5 kit. there was no comparison. The Rancho flexed much better on the front axel.
