I have a 69 F250 4x4 with a 390, I bought an A/C unit out of
the same truck, only a 2wd and It did not have an idler pulley,
where can I get the pulley or does anybody have any pics so I
can see what to look for at the yard.
Mine has an idler pulley, but I never did figure out how it's supposed to be routed. I just went around the crank, fan, AC, PS, and back to the crank. The idler sits in the middle. Amazingly it doesnt slip.
I have the idler. The A/C belt only runs on crank, waterpump, compressor. The idler is what you tension it with. Need to go look, maybe it does not even run on waterpump. The idler is mounted high above waterpump and I think that is what makes the triangle for the belt. I think it may run in front of waterpump pulley.
There was a thread on this a few days ago.. I was involved in..the guy was just going to replace the bearing in it...and found I think it was NAPA had one in stock for like $10- Russ
