i have a 2 weel drive 1970 f250 with a 240 in it im getting redy to give it power steering power brakes and disc brakes on the front so since ive never done anything like this i need to kno stuff like what all do i ned for the power steering conversion whats the cheapest way to do the conversions please help me i need all the help i can get diagrams pictures anything HELP ME!
For the brakes, you can either swap out the spindles if you intend to put in new king pins (see the tech article sectoin), or swap out the entire i-beam/spindle combination. Donor parts come from a 73-79. Same goes with power steering, just much sure you get the steering column as well (different length).
Locate a junked donor truck (73-79) with the parts you need from a private owner would be cheaper than junk yard also look in the tech articals
there is very good tech info. there .
I have a 1970 F-100 2wd w/power steering... I have all the parts you need! that truck is headed to the boneyard after I strip off all the good parts.. Steering gearbox only has 10,000 miles or less on it too
I can take pictures of the De-installation and everything!
