We live in Glens Falls ourselves...Looking forward to learning alot here. I've always been a Chevy guy, so all this Blue Oval stuff is new. But I'm learning about it slowly...
Welcome 93XR7! It's a pleasure to meet you! May I ask what brought you over to the Blue Oval? I am sure you're going to be very pleased with Ford trucks! If you have any questions or need any suggestions, just let us know ok? You'll find everyone here very knowledgeable & willing to help! Tell us more about your truck too so we know what you're driving.
Again - welcome!!!!!!!!!
The truck is a 2WD F-150 XLT Extended Cab. It's light metallic green and white with a grey interior. It has the 5.0L engine and automatic transmission. the truck is spotless and looks like new, literally. You won't find one ounce or trace of rust on this truck anywhere. I found it at a used car dealer here in town and they wanted a very reasonable price for it, mostly because it isn't a 4WD. Seems like everyone up here wants a 4WD, except me.
Anyways, my dad had alot of Ford trucks and had excellent luck with them. I figured if I was going to invest in a truck, I'd want one that is going to last and this truck looks like it'll last forever. What else can I say? If this truck gives me the service my Dad's Fords did, I'll be one happy camper. Plus, I absolutely love the looks of the 93-96 Ford trucks. We've also got a 93 Cougar XR7, (hence the screen name), with the 3.8L engine in it and we absolutely love that car. We love it so much we just bought a 93 Thunderbird LX with the 3.8L and will take delivery of it tomorrow from the same dealer I found my truck at. That Cougar's the best car I've ever owned, without exception.
So that's my story. I'm looking forward to learning about these trucks and I apologize if I ask questions that sound stupid from time to time. I'll catch on eventually.
HI again 93XR7! Sounds like an awesome truck! I'm sure you'll have many happy miles in it - these trucks ARE tough! Just ask mine - I drive it hard & it just takes it! Now if I could find a b/f who was as easygoing & reliable I'd be all set! LOL!
Don't ever worry about asking a ? here - we all had to learn & no ? is stupid if you learn from it. I've had my truck for 4 years & STILL learn things every so often!
Ask away - we're here to help!
Hi everyone. I reciently purchased a 1994 E250 van. I love it. It wass used for commercial use, but I am slowly converting it to a camper. I am now looking to convert it into a manual shift. My only problem is most of what is out there are parts for f 150 to 350. I need to know if their parts are interchangable with the van.
HELLO, my name is Jarod I live in Oneonta Ny, alittle over 15 miles from cooperstown. Saw this and thought id check it out, I have a 79 f-250 custom with a worked 351m taken out to a 400, and i am working on a restoration of an F-150 stepside which wil no longer be a flare side when im done. Shortly i should also have an 86 mustang. Just checking stuff out..........
Welcome Jarod!! What's the plan for the F-150? You said it will no longer be a flareside when you are done. When you can put some pics up in your gallery so we can see your rigs and welcome to FTE!!
