I am currently running a Fosgate P3002 2 channel bridged at 300x1 to 2 12's. I also have a Fosgate 501s that puts out 500x1 bridged. My subs are 400w 200 rms. My question is which amp is best to run with these subs? And does 300x1 mean each sub is getting 300 or is it split between the 2. Same as 500x1 does that mean 500 to each or 250 to each.
the 300watt x1 if its max rating its gonna be less than 150 watts per sub. ifs thats rms your geting about 150 per sub. same goes with the 500 watt amp. it would be best to use the 500 watt for your two subs. also remember that you can run at a lower impedance, if you aren't already and get almost double the power in some cases and you probably won't notice a difference in sound quality.
