which subs do you all recommend?
I intent to run my "old school" ppi with it.
i've been out of the game for awhile so i need all the info i can.
i was looking into a set of either of these.
amp info: Here are the specs for the PC2150:

Power Output:2 ohms 300W x 2
Power Output:4 ohms Bridged Mono 600W x 1
THD: 0.02 %
Signal/Noise Ratio: 115 dB
Frequency Response: 4.5 Hz - 100 kHz
Sensitivity: 0.15 V - 12 V
Damping: > 500
Crossover Slope: 24 dB/Octave
Crossover Frequency: 90 Hz
Crossover Type: 2 Way
Internal Fan: Yes
It looks like that amp wants a load of at least 4 ohms. So if you are only going to run one sub you will need to get the dual 2 ohm voice coils and run them in series to give you a 4 ohm load.
Rockford Fosgates subs are fairly decent, as are MTX, Polk, and Infinity. My personal favorite lately has been Image Dynamics, but they are a bit harder to find as they are a small company.
Check out SuperCrewSound. They are a site sponsor and sell custom boxes as well as Image Dynamics subs. I had an IDQ10D2V2 installed in a JL Audio Stealthbox in my 99 F250 and loved it. I will be putting it in my 07 F350 when I get around to installing the audio stuff.
i ahve a set of P2 12's in my 78 and all i did for more bass was get a semi ported box, and an audio bahnn picro proseesor thing that u can make and adjust or eq to every detail. i also ran a compassitor and only a 850 watt 2 channel punch amp. it pounded hard enough to make me happy. but if u want 10's, see if u can scratch up some nakamishi 10's, hard to find and they are the loudest 10's i think ive ever heard, caused many of nose bleeds in my friends
Thanks for the headup on the L7's i don't believe they won't fit behind the rear seat. I'm looking for some shallow mount subs.
i intend on running 2 10" behind the rear seat. i recently saw the 2 they had at supercrewsound, i'm just not sold on the pioneer subs. I wasn't sure if i should go for the 2 or 4 ohms with that amp. I previously had it running 3 12" jlw6. I just not sure about all the new technologhy.

Check this out! I just listened to 2 Cadence 6x9 sub's that sounded as good as two 10 in solo baric subs! No joke! They where mounted in a rectangle box and where thump'n hard! What I didn't like was that this place was selling them for 150.00 each. I am going to shop around for a cheaper price, but I am sold on these babies!!
Try the CL Audio SQ-10 10" They are designed for small enclosures .5 to 1.0 Cu Ft. They can handle 500 watt RMS--Max 900 watt. Right around $280.00 retail. But, I think you can find them on eBay for quite a bit less.
my subs i'll stick by on putting it a truck or anything that are loud, if u can find them are nakamishi 10's, they are comp subs that are sold only in japan but you can maybe scrounge some up from the richers. u'd have to mount them under ur back seat though..
