I bought a flush and fill kit but I think I installed it (the "TEE")on the wrong hose.
It says "install on inlet hose"(the hose that runs from firewall to top of engine)
On my 4.6l F150 both hoses run from firewall to top of engine one in the front and one in back(near firewall)
Which is correct?
It also instructed me to fill the antifreeze into the expansion tank...is this correct or should I fill it into the actual radiator by removing the top hose?(the top hose is already removed per instructions)
anyway I gotta get it running quick.
Thanks.
I wouldn't mess with the "tee". I would unhook the heater and flush it seperate. Then remove the thermostat, open the radiator drain and just wash as much water thru it as I could. Or you could unhook one heater hose( either one) and run water thru in one direction and then the other. All you are trying to do is get the dirt out, however you can do that is fine.
