81 f150 driveshaft problems
I recently had a u-jjoint break while driving and my driveshaft was dragging on the ground the bad way where the front was digging in because it broke on the differential side. It is a 4 wheel drive. When i went to fix it the driveshaft is now an inch or more too short and wont fit. Is this a bad thing or did it just get compressed? and is it fixable?

the slip joint is jammed in tight. you will probably have to pull the shaft out and use a hammer to get it freed up.
you should probably have the shaft looked at by a drive shaft shop. if it hit that hard it is probably bent. lay it on the driveway and roll it, if it is bent it may show up doing that.
