Good Ignition Module?

I was doing some online shopping for an ignition module for an '84 F-150, 351W, no ecm. Well autozone had one (listed but no picture) and another site had one for $100 more. Either they were two different things or JCWhitney is super high compared to Autozone.

Any suggestions on Module and Coils?

Are you looking for a Dura-Spark II ignition box/module?

I'm going to swap mine out (86 F250 XLT 460) for a HEI setup.

It works fine, just needed to replace my dist and decided to go HEI
to clean up the engine bay somewhat in the process.

Let me know...

Thanks!

Duraspark II is right. I'm just going to replace the stock model. I just don't know why there is such a huge difference in pricing.

$100 sounds way to high. They match up by the color of the plastic grommet where the wires come out of the box. If it's light blue should be less than $25. That's mine for an 82 duraspark II with a 302, been a couple of years though.

Would you want to buy my old one after I swap it out?

The one I found was at autozone for $19.00. The one at JCWhitney was $100+. I have always liked JCWhitney, but they need to do some work on their web site. Of course, I'm critical of web sites since that is what I do for a living - well, allowance.

Thanks for the input. Going to replace it today so I wont be able to buy one from you Clifford. Wait a minute, how much?

If you can get one from Autozone for $19, that doesn't make
mine look too inviting, plus I'd have to add shipping too...

The one from Autozone would also have a warranty...

Sounds like that's your best bet.

I bought one for my 86 F-150 for $17.00 at Advance Auto. They seem to be much cheeper now than they were 10 years ago.

Some of the cheaper ones are just that...cheap. From my experience the original Motorcraft modules seem to last the longest. I heard you can still get them new, anyone know where?
