Small Block ID
I have a 74 Bronco that does not have the original 302 engine. I cannot find any numbers on the engine to identify it. It has an after market intake and carb. Can anyone advise me on how to identify the engine size and year?

Climb underneath, and check out the block, around the back of the oil pan. On the side of the pan rail, on the block( on the starter side?...oops, getting old), you should see a casting number: it should be a C8AB or something similar...C, D, E, F, will be the the decade of casting, the number afterward will be the year...and the A part is the vehicle line...etc...post back with this info.
