say it isn't so!!!!!!!!!!
i just herd that ford bought cummings and that 2003 will be the last year for the psd. then ford will be running cummings diesels and dodge is looking for other companies, maybe isusu? my source showed me liturature to prove his point cause i didn't bilieve him.
I would find it hard to believe that Ford would have gone to all the trouble and expense of developing the 6.0 liter Powerstroke, to discontinue it after one year. Ford currently uses Cummins engines in their larger trucks, so maybe that's where the confusion started. I think Isuzu is owned by GM, so that would be a tough deal to put together.
I'd be betting on Navistar in the Ford for a while.

The info was probably regarding the small 4.5 liter powerstroke they were developing to put into the F150's and expeditions. I heard they scrapped this program for the time being.
Since DC is owned by Mercedes, I've heard that Dodge will eventually use Mercedes diesels in the Ram, but no one seems to know if the cummins will be dropped or not. It makes sense to use an in-house motor rather than buying.

The 4.5L hasn't been dropped, however it is postponed until the low-sulpher diesel fuel comes out in '05 or '06.
