gas oder in oil

i have a 1994 e150 with the 351 engine i have 130,000 and have had no problems up to now. i have a miss that is worse when gasing the engine. i have checked the oil and found an oder of fuel in the oil. any ideas ?

Sounds like a sticky or stuck injector.. Dumping WAY too much fuel in cylinder and by-passing rings...

thanks that would explain why the motor runs so bad now just try to find the bad injector

Injectors can be checked with an Ohnm meter... If you dont have one Check the spark plugs first..

a wet, or gas fouled plug is a sure sign...

Don't forget to check the spark plug wires itself for scrapes and probably running on the engine block as it causes the spark plug not to fire or fire poorly. Those fuel mixture doesn't get burned and will pass through the piston rings and contaminate the oil and you need to replace the oil as soon as possible as well since fuel thins the oil.
