Looking for help here please. Was changing oil on my 2005 F250 and found this loose part on the passenger side front. I'm thinking it is kind of an axle seal or something, but looking for someone to tell me what it is and what else to look for so I can Oder the correct parts and replace it. I had a tire go bad about a month ago and it wobbled pretty good on that same wheel so I'm thinking that is what took the part out. Not having any drivability issues, it might be a little loose in the steering on the highway but that would be it.
Just a dust seal to keep out... well the dust. Cut it off and dont worry about it unless your going in axle deep water/mud. Replace it with the upgraded seal when you remove the axle to do Ujoints or hub bearings.
