Bronco riding REALLY ROUGH !!!
Here's a rate chart and troubleshooting guide link for sway bars:

Atleast take a look at it.
REAR BREAK-AWAY
Stiff springs and/or shocks on rough corners
Excessive rear overhang
*No rear sway bar to equal road shock between rear wheels*
High tire pressure
EXCESSIVE BODY ROLL
High center of gravity (CG)
*Sway bar(s) too small*
Narrow track
Overloaded springs and shocks
WHEEL HOP
Poor shocks
Worn suspension bushings
No traction bars
*No rear sway bar*
*HIGHWAY WANDER*
Play in steering
Incorrect alignment
Large "sail" area such as the side of an SUV
Rear wheel steer
Worn shocks and suspension bushings
*Wrong size or no sway bar(s)*
Ford may be guilty of alot of things, but putting extra steel that's not required on a vehicle probably isn't one of them. I'm sure that without that bar the Bronco performed poorly in some aspects of the testing and the bar corrected or atleast helped it. I'm not picking on ya, I just can't bite my tongue about it because it sounds unsafe. I've just seen a lot of roll-overs... and been in one myself and roll overs at highway speeds suck, especially in a bronco with no roll cage and when the fiberglass top tears away it leaves you exposed to all kinds of dangerous scenarios. There, I've said it and I feel better... hopefully one day you can tell me I just worried too much and I won't have to say I told you so.
