You mean OBDII diagnostic codes? There's a list in the back of the SCMT booklet.

I just ordered my Microtuner from you today. Does it tell you exactly where the port I'm supposed to hook this thing up to is? I'm not a car "techie" by any means.

Yes. Its at the bottom of the dash under the steering column. Look for a black D shaped port.

Ken,

Just finished programming my Ford with the SCMT I purchased from you and it's working GREAT! Can't thank you enough...did have a few general questions though...checked both the faq and the manual so hopefully not wasting your time...here goes...

If I don't plan on towing a trailer, is there any reason I can't stay in the 80hp hi performance mode vs the 60hp towing mode? Any advantages to be gained from 60hp other then towing more then 4000lbs? I notice it set my speed limiter "higher"...what does it set it to and what was it before? I've added 80hp but what did I have before? Is the 0-2mpg gain consistant across both modes or more prevalent with one or the other?

Thanks for your time in advance. The truck in question was a 2002 Ford F250 4x4.

You can drive with it unloaded in the 80HP mode without worry.

>Any advantages to be gained from 60hp other
>then towing more then 4000lbs?

Yes. The 80HP program has poorer fuel economy.

>I notice it set my speed

>before?

It varies by ECU code but I believe the standard is 118mph.

>I've added 80hp but what did I have before?

275 @ 2800 (manual)
250 @ 2600 (automatic)

>Is the
>0-2mpg gain consistant across both modes or more prevalent

Its for the 60HP mode.

Superchips Powerstroke Microtuner Now Includes OBD II Diagnostic Code Reader

I am new to the world of diesels, just got a Supercrew F250, Lariat 4X4. I need a little info, with the micro tuner, am I going to get into a warranty battle with the dealer? (I planned on waiting for the 6.0, but jeeze... they really wanted this '02 off the lot!) I plan on adding a pyrometer, boost gauge, voltmeter (tranny temp. is already there) Eventually, a downpipe and larger exhaust, but that will have to wait for another finacial windfall. Would I be safe adding the the 1705 now, or do I need to complete the other mods first? The truck will do a limited amount of towing for now, mainly basic transportation family vehical. Also, Rotella or Delvac? both are available, close to the same price, just need long term avise on choice. Thanks!

Ken, I recently took my truck in for some service at the dealer and changed the program back to the stockprogram. When I went to reprogram it to the 60hp program the microtuner did not go through the "Loading the stock program" sequence. It installed the program just fine. Does the microtuner keep the stockprogram in its memory and check if it and the truckprogram are the same and only copy the stockprogram again if the dealer happens to reflash it? Just wondering.
Like the tuner alot

Told a friend about it (more like bragged about it) and he just ordered the SCMT 2 from you as well. .....Dragracing here we come (just kidding....even though I was able to leave some nice treadmarks even with the duallies on the back of my crewcab)
Thanks again

So long as the vin and ecu code don't change it doesn't reload.
