Just got a good look at the height of a SD250 empty height from the ground to the top rail is 55in. that should give me about a 6in. clearence on my goose neck not bad but not good either

consider this, when the unit is hooked up both truck and trlr are'level'and ground ht of truck rail is lower (4 in on my '99'), therefore the dimension to be considered is the dist from the g-neck ball to the underneath of trlr overhang,similarly the dist from the 5th whl hitch plate to the underneath of trlr overhang

how much can you lower a diesel burning 250? My 5er measures 53" from the ground to the over the bed portion of the trailer when it is level, the trailer suspension is raised to the max. current truck is '97 250, 5.4l K&N cold air and Flowmaster 3"
