Speedometer shut-off

Has anyone disabled there speedometer shut off. Just curious if it can be done. I just would like it to wind out a little farther.

Not sure I understand your question, but if you are attempting to disable your speedometer, I don't think it can be done on modern vehicles because the computer needs input from the speed sensor to run the engine properly.

You can disable the speed limiter with a programmer. I had the opportunity, but didn't. Still kicking myself for that. Mine tops out at 102 and still feels strong up to that point.

no, what i mean is my truck will not accelerate any farther that 100mph. Can i remove that system or disable so that it will continue to climb in speed?

In my case I was at the dealer. You can get OBD II programmers (assuming you have an OBD II vehicle) that will let you turn off the limiter. Unfortunately it is worth the price for me to buy it just for the limiter.
