Has any one made any inexpensive milage improvements to their V 10, dual exhaust, different mufflers, or other. I also don't want the sound to be greatly increased.
Thanks for your information.
Good luck i have a v 10 so and i know that the gas milage sux and theres not to much u can do. replace your intake and exhaust and try to make it run as clean as possible.

This is one thing I wish people wouldn't say because it just goes round and round...
Comparing apples to apples, gas engines to gas engines, the V10 for it's size and torque output gets GREAT mileage when comparing it to other gas engines.
Other than that, a few people have reported better mileage from intake and exhaust upgrades.
Go down to the V10 forum and search around, you'll find lots of stuff.
krewat is right for its size it gets good mpgs. some people also notice when they try a different oil like a thicker one the mpg goes down. i would recommend using the ford spec'd 5w20 oil.
i'm running 5w30 castrol syntec and it has not made any big difference. other then the motor seems to run a bit smother with the full syntec over the dyno blend.
gas milage i'm happy with near 12.5 city and 15 highway at a steady 70 mph.
The V10 is only a 415 cubic inch motor. It is just a little guy with big muscles and I find my big CC 4x4 LB very good on fuel for a 7700 pound vehicle. I had an 88 F250 4x4 that weighed over 2000 pounds less , had no where near the power, and used about 40% more fuel, yes it was the legendary 460 a great motor but a real gas pig.
