Guys,
This is still a great thread, one that I've enjoyed returning to in order to follow eveyone's progress. I've purchased some of the parts, fabricated some others, and just about have the time to start in on my installation. I learned empirically that I don't NEED the second battery right now (at least in the nice warm summer months...), but that it's a WANT, so it got back-burnered while I finished the install of the laptop/radios/stuff. I should submit a picture of the "final" (is anything ever final?!?) rig I mounted to the doghouse. 45 amps to those "tools", that's the whole reason this thread got started...
