$900 dollar truck

I just bought 2003 F 150 XLT 7700 5.4 Triton reg cab 4x4 for 900 bucks. I am learning about the 7700 package, I had never heard of it, or seen one. I needed it for a farm truck to get feed, wood pellets, etc...
It's dark green, tan on the inside and fully loaded with power everything. Needs cleaning up, some rust issues resolved, new tires. But drove it home 2 1/2 hours with no issues. Definetly stiffer feel than my '02 F 150 Xl 4x4. Like the V8 too.

Got Mine!

Bought a Red 97 F250LD Supercab 4x4 , I really like the truck. Only 127K on it, rockers are gone, but what 97-2003 f150/f250 hard worked truck has it's rockers left anyway? I seem to have the rare maroon interior, in decent shape, but I need a new dash bezel. Got it for $2K, I think I did pretty good. 5.4L. I am a new 2V 5.4L fan. Good power, acceleration, smooth power.

Already replaced the exhaust manifolds, studs, and EGR tube, that got rid of the obnoxious exhaust noise.

I'll keep plugging away at it until I've got everything working the way I want it to. (needs a clock spring to get the horn, cruise, and drivers airbag back working.) Lots of little things, Nothing big needs attention,

I think I will look into converting to 8-lugs, but that will be later on.

have a great day!

'98 F250 base. Drove 1500 miles to trade in my 04 F150 Heritage, then drove this one back home. Nearly perfect shape.

3.73 LS, auto, cruise, tow pkg, 4.6L

1997 f250 LD, 4x4, 5.4 2v.

just bought for $1k from an old farmer who’s had it for the last 15 years. It sat in a field with no window for the last year, so the interior was nasty, full of rat **** and dirt dobber nests. I gutted the carpet, and swapped the interior (mostly) with an 03 f150 parts truck I bought. Trying to make this thing awesome again!

Stock with the exception of a few LED light bulbs, and it has a small body lift from the previous owner, but I’ll be adding remote start/ keyless entry/ push button start, cab lights, and a bunch of other goodies as I go. Just put 285/75r16 Goodyear wrangler duratracs on her. Still working out kinks, my 4x4 isn’t working right and I’ve got a p0174 code, so I’ll likely be replacing all the vacuum lines in the near future.

couple of things to check, above the battery is a solenoid that will get corroded and could by why the 4x4 will not engage , on the vacuum leak check the PCV tube where it goes into the back of the intake, it is a rubber elbow that is known for going bad. Find a old rubber boot from a ignition coil wire as replacement. https://www.ebay.com/itm/MSD-Ignitio...t/182678219417

yessir, I had the same inclination as far as my p0174, so I checked the PCs tube and it looks like it’s in good shape. Went ahead and replaced the pcv valve and it’s still present, so I don’t think that’s the issue.

as far as the 4wd, when I bought the truck, the SOTF switch connector was ripped off, so I bought a new switch and connector and wired them in, but when I try to put it in 4hi, the 4x4 light comes on and that’s all it does. When I switch back to 2hi, the light stays on. Checked fuse #23, and it’s good, so I suppose the best place to start would be checking resistance at the switch connector?
