Has anyone measured the 04/04 engine DP? Is it a 3.5 inch. Cannot imagine that it is 4 inch. Everything that I have been reading, indicates that 4 inch may be to free flowing for the variable vain turbo. I suppose it has something to do with velocity past the turbo, but I am not sure. Certainly, ANYTHING on the 03 will be an improvement, in so far as DP.

has anyone heard of or know of that the truck will blow out black smoke real bad with the predator installed on it. one of the shops was saying something about it to a friend of mine so im just asking.
I am running the Predator 65HP tune and have not seen any black smoke.

I have held one in my hands it is round and 3.5, is not smashed square in a few places like ours
In 65HP mode it will smoke faintly if you lug it and then floor it...
but in 100 hp mode it is giving it enough fuel to smoke , even with a turbo back exhaust system...

Mine makes a little smoke in the 100 hp mode when I floor it. In the 65 mode it doesn't smoke at all.
Isn't smoke just unburned excess fuel ???
maybe the reason mine does smoke some and yours doesn't Bob is...
I don't have an intake but do have exhaust,
and you have the intake...
which gets enough air to burn up the fuel....
DARN.. that means I'm wasting fuel but more importantly leaving MORE POWER on the table
