So it's "Me Wise Majic" ?? (If so I'm ashamed)
I remember now in the last years of DLR with VH that he was drunk every show and wanted to talk more than sing. I remember when he would stop right in the middle of a song and Eddie would look at him like "What... are you doing...." and Dave would go off on some tangent and start singing another song.

I can't imagine that Dave was the only one drunk those days. I never made it to one of their shows, but Mike Anthony totes a bass guitar in the shape of a Jack Daniels bottle to this day.
DLR was good for some outrageous quotations. My favorite was "The only reason the critics like Elvis Costello is because they all look like him."

Hey, VH is ok but the REAL LORDS of THUNDER are touring intact again right now. Geezers all the way!! Black Sabbath of course! 
They even were able to coax out a visit from the original Priest too! Judas Priest WITH good old Rob Halford!

I Think all of them are "Off the wagon" now.
One of the reasons that Sammy left was because Eddie didn't want booze at the pre show rooms at their shows any more because Valeri wanted Eddie to quit drinking to try to save their marrage,Well you see what that got him anyway.

Oh I don't think that Sammy is off the wagon. He owns his own line of tequila, Cabo Wabo (actually pretty good, if a tad high-priced). I think he is heavily involved with new product research.
Eddie, who beat tougue cancer just a year ago, has been seen puffing away on cigarettes during this tour. 2 1/2 weeks till I see them live!

Eddie got the mouth cancer from drinking from all those years, but I still love them even with Sammy. I'm going too see them in St. Louis in about 3 weeks and really looking forward to it.

Sammy Sucks ... liked him back with montrose. Dave needs to come back...atleast 1 last tour. The only thing is the tour would need to be outdoors, because of daves huge head they wouldnt be able to fit it throught the doors.
